Our community has been hard at work preparing the land for a Walipini greenhouse that is being built right now in Guatemala.
A Walipini is an underground greenhouse designed to grow food year round. In a place where families often struggle to access nutritious food, projects like this can make a lasting difference for an entire community.
This build is happening thanks to the incredible Walipini Impact Team.
These amazing volunteers traveled to Guatemala to work alongside our
community and help bring this greenhouse to life. Not only did they pay their own way to be here, they also fundraised to cover half of the cost of the Walipini build.
During their time here, they are sharing meals prepared by local families, learning
about the culture, and working side by side with the community to create
something that will provide fresh food and opportunity for years to come.
This is what meaningful collaboration looks like.
