Small Checkups, Big Impact

We are beyond grateful to Katie Walther and Humanitize Expeditions for collaborating with our community during their health clinics. Their volunteers have offered medical check ups to our community for the last 4 years. During one of their first checkups they noticed a problem with Dulce’s heart and recommended she see a cardiologist which lead her to having heart surgery in Guatemala City. That was 2 years ago and she’s doing amazing.

Last week our community was able to get their vision checked and several of them were able to be fitted with glasses. Sometimes we might take these simple health checks for granted and we are so grateful we are able to work with other humanitarians who are doing the good work.
