Hi friends,
We wanted to share a simple story from December that still makes us
smile.
Five days before Christmas, we loaded up hundreds of pounds of
donated items and headed to Savers. Many people do not realize that
donations like this can directly support our work.
By selling these items, we earned funds that go straight back into our
programs in Guatemala.
This time, it was a full family effort. Darrin and I put our teenagers to
work too, helping sort, load, and deliver everything.
Together, we earned over five hundred dollars to support nutrition,
education, and sustainability projects for families who need it most.
This is one of the ways we teach our kids about service. It shows them
that giving does not have to be complicated. Sometimes it starts with
cleaning out a closet.
Our ask is simple.
This year, we will host four clothing drives. Instead of donating your
items elsewhere, we invite you to donate them to Be Humanitarian.
We have a storage space ready and waiting, and every bag helps fuel
the work happening in Guatemala.
If you would like to donate or host a drive, just reply to this email and we will share the details.
