Last week, we got to spend an entire day with our garden tower team to thank them for their hard work. We explored towns around Lake Atitlan, visited a fair trade ceramic shop, cooled off in the lake, visited a co-op chocolate factory and ate dinner together. We have to work together to get real change done and I’m grateful to this awesome team and their families who support them while they are working.

Next week we will be sharing many more photos from our trip and can’t wait for you to see more updates on our work!

The reality in San Andres, Guatemala is twofold: malnutrition and lack of education. Children in the area are suffering from severe malnutrition, with many falling into the 3rd percentile for height and weight. At the same time, there is a lack of funding for educational opportunities, leaving many children unable to attend school due to financial constraints.

Be Humanitarian has implemented a nutrition and education program that has successfully improved the lives of these children, however there is still a significant need for support. By sponsoring the children, Be Humanitarian is able to provide them with the necessary resources to attend school, including paying their fees, buying uniforms, and purchasing school supplies.
