The truth is, in Guatemala, a person who speaks fluent English can often earn more than a doctor with seven years of medical schooling. This is why offering English education to our kiddos has always been one of our primary goals.

Last month, during our visit to Guatemala, we had the opportunity to tour a new English school in San Andrés, taught by local teachers who live within the community. Although they were relatively new and had just 20 students, we saw incredible potential. I am thrilled to share that we have since doubled their school size by enrolling 21 of our own students.

This development is especially exciting because when our volunteers are in Guatemala, they will be able to work closely with these teachers to support our kiddos as they practice their English. I firmly believe that learning English will open up amazing opportunities for our community, and our moms and students are absolutely elated!

Thank you so much for your continued support of Be Humanitarian! Together, we are creating brighter futures.

Sincerely,
Tobie Spears
