Be Humanitarian has created a service adventure you won’t forget. This one-of-a-kind “voluntour” will immerse you in the Guatemalan culture and open your eyes to how others live in the world.

As a volunteer in Guatemala you will build connections with your group and the Guatemalan people. We believe there is value in service on both ends. Not only as a volunteer will you grow but you will also help the communities in which we serve grow. By serving these communities, you are making a difference now and for generations to come.

Here are a few ideas of what we do…. plant garden towers, volunteer in the local community, deliver hundreds of pounds of books, backpacks and school supplies to our preschool and local school, offer love and hope to all those we come in contact with and have an absolute blast!

If payment a deposit today, additional manual payments can be made in your account.
Full payment must be received prior to February 28th.

Our Awesome Itinerary –

We will eat breakfast, lunch and dinner together each night and stay in the same Airbnb.

Day 1 – Upon arriving in Guatemala City (GUA) – we will be picked up by our private driver and our private bus. We will drive from Guatemala City to the city of San Andrés, near Panajachel on Lake Atitlan.

Day 2 –  After breakfast and Mass we will drive to Lake Atitlan for a swim in the lake, to explore the city, enjoy the sunset and enjoy a cultural dinner experience.

Day 3 –  After breakfast we will get to volunteer at a local school and meet our sponsored kiddos. After lunch we will continue volunteering at the school where we will also distribute our donations.

Day 4 – After breakfast we will spend the day building and installing garden towers with our team.

Day 5 –  After breakfast we will return to our garden tower project or volunteer at the school painting classrooms, building bookcases and tutoring the children. After school we will volunteer at an English tutoring center.

Day 6 –  After breakfast we will build garden towers in our families homes, deliver donations and make home visits. After lunch we will take a well deserved plunge in the local pool.

Day 7 –  We will load our bus and drive to Volcán Pacaya where we will hike the active volcano. After our hike and lunch, we will travel to Antigua to enjoy a night time walking tour and dinner in the city.

Day 8 – After breakfast we will pack our bags and leave for the airport.
